Additional Background Information

Dr. Gralnick has many years of experience as a marketing manager and account executive with various companies. She has always increased profits significantly while working for manufacturing companies. During these years, she learned more about leadership, gained significant product knowledge and improved employee productivity. During the evening, she attended California State University, Long Beach, and earned an M.P.A. degree.

 

After earning her Master of Public Administration Degree, she enrolled in Law School, continued working as an outside professional Marketing Executive and then started doing Corporate Training for various companies while pursuing an opportunity to start her own business. She also earned a certificate as a Conflict Resolution Mediator and conducted various Labor/Management negotiations for labor unions and other organizations.

Upon completing her (J.D.), Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree, she decided to open her own service business for attorneys throughout Ventura County, where she lived at the time. Dr. Gralnick was able to build a large clientele of attorneys and provided clients with daily court filings, service of process, investigative services, and legal research and writing of legal briefs with "points and authories" for the attorneys, in preparation for their court appearances.

In later years, Dr. Gralnick started a service for HR professionals, teaching employment law and conducting specialized corporate training, which she continued to do for several years. She developed and presented numerous Employment and Business Law Webinars and Seminars for Lorman Education Services, so attorneys, legal assistants, paralegals, human resource managers, accountants, and department heads could earn "continuing educational units" (CEU). These webinars were designed for professionals, needing CEU as required by their associations in order to keep their licenses current.

 

Lastly, Dr. Gralnick has a California Real Estate license and has worked with real estate professionals in regard to staying in compliance with California Real Estate Codes and Employment Laws, since Brokers are responsible for their non-licensed employees and licensed real estate agents.

Staying in compliance with California Employment and Real Estate Codes, in addition to keeping up with new federal laws, are mandatory, not discretionary. Non-compliance with the codes, rules, and statutes will eventually result in litigation and/or payment of high penalties. That is why Dr. Gralnick started HRM Specialists, a training service to keep businesses updated and in compliance with California Codes. She continues to train and present webinars under HRM Specialists.

In conclusion, Dr. Gralnick is extremely experienced in the world of general business and real estate. She is hoping to use her knowledge, experience, expertise, and skills to help students in a CTE program become successful in a occupation that is needed and lucrative in today's market.
